Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before you buy.
Shipping & Delivery
How is my sauna delivered?
All saunas ship via LTL freight (less-than-truckload). Delivery is curbside — the driver will bring the pallet to the end of your driveway or as close to your door as road conditions allow.
The freight carrier will contact you 24–48 hours before your delivery date to schedule a time window that works for you. Most saunas arrive on a pallet and need 2 people to carry inside. If you need white-glove delivery or inside placement, contact us before placing your order and we can check availability in your area.
How long does shipping take?
In-stock orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days. Transit typically takes 5–10 business days depending on your location. You will receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships.
What if my sauna arrives damaged?
Inspect the packaging carefully before signing for delivery. If you notice any damage to the box or pallet — including dents, punctures, or torn corners — note it on the delivery receipt and photograph everything before the driver leaves.
Contact us within 48 hours at Sales@Iridescenthome.com or call (307) 201-4597 with your photos and order number. We will work directly with the freight carrier and manufacturer to get replacement parts or a full replacement shipped at no extra cost.
Do not refuse delivery. Accepting and documenting damage is the fastest path to resolution. Refusing a shipment often doubles the freight cost and delays replacement.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Currently we ship within the contiguous United States only. We are unable to ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or international destinations at this time.
If you are located outside the contiguous US and are interested in a purchase, contact us and we will do our best to explore options.
What does "curbside delivery" mean exactly?
Curbside delivery means the freight carrier is responsible for transporting your sauna to the edge of your property — typically the end of your driveway or the nearest accessible street-level point. The driver is not responsible for bringing it inside your home.
You will need at least one other adult to help carry the boxes inside and to a suitable location. Most infrared sauna boxes weigh 150–350 lbs total and come in multiple pieces. The sauna itself assembles in 1–2 hours once inside.
Installation & Setup
Do I need an electrician to install my sauna?
Most of our saunas are plug-and-play — they run on standard 120V household outlets and require no special wiring or electrician. Just plug it in and you are ready to go.
Some larger models (typically 3-person and above) require a dedicated 240V 20-amp or 30-amp circuit. Check the Features & Specifications tab on the product page for the exact electrical requirement of your specific model.
If a dedicated circuit is needed, a licensed electrician can typically install one for $150–$400. Not sure about your home setup? Call us at (307) 201-4597 — we are happy to advise.
How much space do I need?
Allow at least 2–3 inches of clearance on the sides and back of the sauna for airflow, and enough room in front of the door to open it fully (typically another 2 feet). Check the assembled dimensions on the product page — these will tell you the exact footprint.
Also measure any doorways, hallways, or stairwells the sauna will need to pass through on the way in. Most saunas can be partially disassembled to navigate tight spaces — the panels slot together and no tools are usually required for disassembly.
How hard is the sauna to assemble?
Most of our saunas assemble in 1–2 hours with two people and no special tools. The panels clip or slot together with labeled connections, and the wiring is pre-attached. A detailed instruction manual is included.
The most common review comment we receive is "easier than I expected." If you run into any issues, call us at (307) 201-4597 and we will walk you through it step by step.
Can I use my sauna outdoors?
It depends on the sauna type. Our infrared saunas are designed for indoor use only and should be placed in a climate-controlled space protected from rain, humidity, and direct sunlight. Placing an infrared sauna outdoors can void the manufacturer warranty and damage the electronics, control panels, and wood panels.
Several of our traditional and hybrid sauna models are built for outdoor installation depending on the specific model — check the product page for outdoor suitability. Our barrel sauna collection is also specifically designed for outdoor year-round use. If you are looking for an outdoor option, browse our traditional sauna and barrel sauna ranges and look for outdoor-rated models, or give us a call and we will point you in the right direction.
What type of floor do I need?
Any hard, level floor works — concrete, tile, hardwood, laminate, or vinyl. Carpet is fine too but a mat underneath the sauna can help protect carpet fibres from the sauna feet over time.
The sauna should be on a level surface. If your floor has a slight slope (common in garages), use furniture levelling feet or a rubber mat to compensate — most saunas are within a few centimetres of adjustability on their own feet.
Does my sauna need ventilation?
Infrared saunas do not produce steam and do not require external ventilation or drainage. You do not need to make any modifications to your room — just plug in and use.
The room will get warm during use, particularly in smaller spaces. A door left slightly ajar or a nearby window can help moderate room temperature if needed, but it is not a requirement.
Health & Use
Is it safe to use an infrared sauna every day?
Yes — infrared saunas are considered safe for daily use for most healthy adults. Start with 15–20 minute sessions as your body acclimates, and work up to 30–45 minutes once you are comfortable.
Stay well hydrated before, during, and after each session. If you have heart conditions, are pregnant, or have any other medical concerns, consult your doctor before use.
What are the main health benefits of infrared sauna?
Research and widespread user experience point to several key benefits from regular infrared sauna use:
- Muscle recovery — improved circulation reduces soreness after exercise
- Better sleep — the body-cooling effect post-session supports deeper sleep onset
- Stress reduction — heat triggers a relaxation response and lowers cortisol
- Detoxification — sweating helps the body eliminate certain toxins
- Skin health — improved circulation supports skin tone and clarity
- Pain relief — infrared heat penetrates deeper than traditional heat, soothing joints and muscles
Results vary by individual. Many customers report noticeable improvements in sleep and recovery within the first two weeks of regular use.
What is the difference between an infrared sauna and a traditional sauna?
Traditional saunas heat the air around you to 160–200°F. You are essentially sitting in very hot air. Infrared saunas use infrared light to heat your body directly, operating at a lower ambient temperature of 120–150°F — but penetrating 1–3 inches beneath the skin surface.
Because infrared heats your body rather than the air, you sweat more at a lower temperature, making sessions more comfortable and accessible. Traditional saunas require more time to heat up (30–60 minutes) versus infrared saunas (10–15 minutes) and require water and a heat source for steam.
Both deliver wellness benefits — the choice comes down to personal preference and installation constraints. Read our full comparison guide: Infrared vs Traditional Saunas.
What is EMF and why does it matter?
EMF stands for electromagnetic field — a form of radiation emitted by any electrical device, including infrared heater panels. EMF is measured in milligauss (mG).
Standard safety guidelines set acceptable residential limits at 2 mG or below for long-term exposure. Our Dynamic and Maxxus saunas feature ultra-low EMF heaters that emit 0.5–2 mG at normal sitting distance — well within safety thresholds.
The exact EMF rating is listed in the specifications section of each product page. If EMF is a priority concern for you, filter by our lowest-EMF models or contact us for a recommendation.
How long should my sessions be?
Beginners: 15–20 minutes at 110–130°F for the first 1–2 weeks.
Regular users: 25–45 minutes at 130–150°F.
Advanced: up to 60 minutes for experienced users in good health.
Listen to your body. Exit the sauna immediately if you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or uncomfortable. Always drink water before and after each session.
What temperature should I set my sauna to?
Most users find their ideal temperature between 125°F and 145°F. Start lower (110–125°F) if you are new to sauna use and work up over several weeks as your body adapts to the heat.
Pre-heating your sauna for 10–15 minutes before stepping in will also make your session more effective — you will start sweating sooner and experience the full infrared benefits faster.
Can more than one person use the sauna at once?
Yes — our 2-person, 3-person, and 4-person models are designed for multiple users simultaneously. Each person will have their own bench seating and heat exposure.
One-person models are designed for solo use and have a smaller footprint, making them ideal for tighter spaces or personal wellness routines. Check the product description to confirm the seating capacity of the model you are considering.
Cold Plunge
What is the difference between a cold plunge tub and a cold plunge chiller?
A cold plunge tub is the vessel itself — the container you sit or lie in. A cold plunge chiller is a motorised cooling unit that actively refrigerates the water to your target temperature and filters it continuously.
Our inflatable and basic tubs are filled with cold or ice-cold water manually. Our chiller-compatible models pair with a separate cooling unit to maintain temperature automatically — no ice required. Chillers are a significant convenience upgrade for daily use.
How cold do the cold plunge tubs get?
Without a chiller: you control the temperature by filling with cold tap water and adding ice. Most users maintain 50–60°F this way.
With a chiller unit: temperatures can be maintained consistently between 39–60°F depending on the chiller model. A chiller also maintains temperature continuously so you do not need to re-ice before each session.
Can I use a cold plunge tub outdoors?
Our inflatable cold plunge tubs can be used outdoors in mild weather conditions. Avoid direct sunlight during use as UV exposure degrades inflatable materials over time, and bring the tub inside or cover it when not in use.
Rigid cedar cold plunge tubs are more weather-tolerant and are suitable for covered outdoor areas such as patios or decks. Avoid leaving any cold plunge tub exposed to freezing temperatures — drain it if temperatures are expected to drop below 32°F.
How often should I cold plunge?
Most people start with 2–4 sessions per week and progress to daily plunges as their cold tolerance improves. There is no single optimal frequency — consistency matters more than quantity.
Beginners: start with 1–2 minutes at around 55–60°F. Work toward 3–5 minutes at 50–55°F over 2–4 weeks as your body adapts. Never push through extreme discomfort — controlled breathing and gradual adaptation are the keys to progress.
Can I combine cold plunge and sauna (contrast therapy)?
Yes — contrast therapy is one of the most effective recovery and wellness protocols available. Alternating between hot sauna and cold plunge amplifies the cardiovascular, inflammatory, and mood benefits of each separately.
A typical contrast session: 15–20 minutes in the sauna, then 2–3 minutes in the cold plunge, repeated 2–3 times. End on cold for alertness or on heat for relaxation. Allow 1–2 minutes of transition time between each.
How do I maintain a cold plunge tub?
For inflatable tubs: drain, rinse, and dry after each use if water sits for more than a day. Use a mild, sauna-safe cleaning solution occasionally to prevent algae or bacterial build-up.
For chiller-equipped tubs: the chiller will circulate and filter the water continuously. Change the water every 1–3 months depending on use frequency, and clean the filter as directed in the chiller manual. Adding a small amount of food-grade hydrogen peroxide or ozone-compatible solution keeps the water clean between changes.
Warranty & Returns
What warranty comes with my sauna?
All saunas we sell come with a manufacturer warranty covering the heaters, wood panels, electrical components, and controls. Warranty lengths vary by brand and model — Dynamic and Maxxus saunas typically carry a 5-year warranty on heaters and panels.
Check the Features & Specifications section on each product page for the exact warranty terms. As an authorized dealer, we are the first point of contact for any warranty issue and will coordinate with the manufacturer on your behalf.
What does "authorized dealer" mean for my warranty?
When you buy from an authorized dealer like Iridescent Home, the manufacturer recognises your purchase and your warranty is fully valid. This means if a heater fails, a panel warps, or a control panel stops working, the manufacturer will cover the replacement — at no cost to you.
When you buy from an unauthorised seller (many Amazon listings and grey-market resellers), the manufacturer does not recognise the sale. The warranty is void before your sauna is even delivered. We are official authorized dealers for Dynamic, Maxxus, and Golden Designs.
What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day return window from delivery. Before initiating a return, please contact us — we will do everything we can to resolve the issue, whether that means troubleshooting, sending a replacement part, or finding a better-fitting model.
Returns are subject to a restocking fee and outbound/return freight costs. Saunas must be in original condition and packaging. To avoid surprises, we encourage you to call us before purchasing if you have any concerns about size, fit, or compatibility. Our team is available Mon–Fri · 9am–5pm MT at (307) 201-4597.
For full details, see our Returns & Refund Policy.
What if something goes wrong after delivery?
Call or email us first. Most issues — a loose panel, a wiring question, a control panel that is not responding — can be resolved in a single phone call with a knowledgeable team member who knows the product.
For warranty-covered defects, we handle the manufacturer claim on your behalf. For non-warranty issues, we will advise the fastest and most cost-effective path to resolution. You are not on your own once the sauna is delivered — that is what sets us apart from marketplace sellers.
Does the cold plunge carry a warranty?
Yes. Inflatable cold plunge tubs carry a 90-day manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Cedar and rigid tubs carry longer warranties — check the specific product page for terms.
Chiller units carry separate warranty coverage from the chiller manufacturer, typically 1 year on parts and labour. Contact us if you experience any issue and we will handle the claim process with you.
Financing & Payment
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We offer 0% APR financing through Shop Pay Installments, powered by Affirm. Split your purchase into equal monthly payments with no interest and no hidden fees.
To use financing, select Shop Pay at checkout and choose your installment plan. You will see your exact monthly payment before confirming your order. Most customers pay as little as $100–$200/month depending on the model selected.
Financing is available to eligible US customers at checkout. Approval is instant and does not affect your credit score to check eligibility.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), as well as Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal. All transactions are processed securely through Shopify Payments.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. Our store is powered by Shopify, which uses 256-bit SSL encryption and is PCI DSS Level 1 compliant — the highest level of payment security certification. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
Can I get a price match?
Yes. If you find a lower price from another authorized dealer for the same model, contact us before placing your order and we will match it. Note the key word: authorized dealer. We cannot match prices from grey-market sellers or unauthorized Amazon listings, as those saunas carry voided warranties.
Call us at (307) 201-4597 or email Sales@Iridescenthome.com with the link and we will confirm the match in writing before you order.
Do you charge sales tax?
Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address and applicable state tax laws. Some states exempt fitness and wellness equipment from sales tax — your accurate total including any applicable tax will be displayed before you confirm payment.
About Iridescent Home
What brands do you carry?
We are an authorized dealer for three brands:
- Dynamic Saunas — our most popular range, known for ultra-low EMF heaters and excellent value across 1–4 person models
- Maxxus Saunas — Canadian hemlock and near-zero EMF options at competitive price points
- Golden Designs — the parent company behind both Dynamic and Maxxus, with premium models and extended warranty coverage
We also carry a curated selection of cold plunge tubs and cold plunge chillers from Dynamic Cold Therapy.
Are you an authorized dealer?
Yes — Iridescent Home is an official authorized dealer for Dynamic Saunas, Maxxus Saunas, and Golden Designs. This means every sauna we sell comes with its full manufacturer warranty intact, and we can support any warranty claim directly with the brand.
Buying from an authorized dealer protects your investment. Grey-market and unauthorized listings — common on Amazon — frequently result in voided warranties and no recourse on a $2,000–$5,000 purchase.
How is buying from you different from buying on Amazon or Walmart?
Several key differences:
- Warranty protection — our authorized status means the manufacturer warranty is valid. Most Amazon sauna listings are grey-market with voided warranties.
- Expert guidance — we know every model we sell. Call us and speak to someone who can actually help you choose the right sauna for your space and budget.
- Post-sale support — we are your first contact if anything goes wrong after delivery. Amazon sellers are often unreachable once an order ships.
- Price match guarantee — we match any authorized dealer price.
