What you are actually buying.

This is where the Outdoor GreatRoom line differs from a fire pit enclosure. An enclosure is a shell — you specify the burner, the media and the ignition separately and they arrive as separate orders. Every table on this page is one SKU with all of it already fitted.

  • Crystal Fire® Plus burner, fitted and plumbed to the valve

  • Burner cover, so the top is usable when it is not lit
  • Ignition — manual, with a battery-operated sparker

Choosing

Four decisions, in the order they actually matter.

Height and footprint decide whether the table works in the space. Fuel and delivery decide what has to happen before it can be lit.

  • First

    Height decides how it is used

    Bowl height, around 15 to 19 inches, sits low in front of seating and is looked down into. Chat height, 20 to 26 inches, works as a coffee table you can rest a glass on. Dining height, 30 inches, is a table people eat at with the fire in the middle. Only the Kenwood Linear is dining height.

  • Second

    Footprint decides the seating circle

    Allow four feet of clear travel around the outer edge before you place seating. A 29-inch bowl is an accent between two chairs. A 60-inch linear is what a terrace is arranged around. Measure the seating circle before you measure the table.

  • Third

    Fuel decides the install

    These ship configured for liquid propane with a natural-gas conversion kit included, so either is possible — but the decision is permanent once made. Natural gas means a line run to the spot and never running out. Propane means a tank, and on some models the tank has to be concealed in the base rather than stood beside it.

  • Fourth

    Delivery decides what your day looks like

    Most of these come on a lift-gate truck to the kerb, with the carrier calling first to arrange a window and somebody needing to be there to sign. Three — Providence, Brooks and Kenwood Rectangular — ship by parcel carrier instead, with no appointment and nothing to sign for. Each product page says which.

Before you order

The questions we actually get.

Do I need to order a burner and fire glass separately?

No. That is the difference between these and a fire pit enclosure. Every table on this page arrives with the Crystal Fire® Plus burner already fitted, the fire media, the burner cover and the ignition — one SKU, one carton or crate.

The optional extras are a wind guard, if the spot is exposed, and a protective cover for the off-season. Both are sized to the specific table and are linked from each product page.

Propane or natural gas?

These are supplied configured for liquid propane, with the natural-gas conversion kit in the box, so either is available — but it is a one-time decision and the conversion is a licensed gas fitter's job, not a weekend one.

Natural gas means running a line to the spot. It never runs out and it supports the higher rated outputs. Propane means a tank, and where the tank goes differs by model — some conceal a standard 20 lb tank inside the base, others do not. The product page says which.

How does it arrive, and what do I do on the day?

Most of these ship kerbside on a lift-gate truck. The carrier calls ahead to arrange a window and someone needs to be there to receive and sign. Providence, Brooks and Kenwood Rectangular are the exceptions — they ship by parcel carrier, so there is no appointment and nothing to sign for.

On a freight delivery, inspect before you sign. Photograph anything that looks wrong and note it on the delivery receipt — then call us before the driver leaves. On some of these lines the manufacturer would rather visibly damaged freight were refused outright than accepted with a note, so the right answer depends on the model and we would rather give it to you on the phone.

Either way, report it the same day and no later than three business days. The reporting windows on freight damage are short and a late report can end a claim.

Can it go under a pergola or an overhang?

It depends on the model's rated output, and the manufacturer's own overhead figure is printed on every product page here rather than left for you to find in a manual.

The general shape of it is an overhead structure open on at least two sides, at the published clearance. If your model cannot go under cover, the page says so plainly.

Is any assembly needed?

Little to none. The burner, valve and gas connections are fitted before it ships. What is left is levelling the table, seating the burner and having the gas connected.

Adjustable feet are fitted on most models, so an uneven patio is a levelling job rather than a problem. The models that arrive in more than one carton — Brooks, Kenwood Rectangular, Sierra and Darien — need the top and base brought together, which is a two-person job and takes minutes rather than hours.
