Financing FAQ
Does checking my rate affect my credit score?
No. Checking your eligibility for Shop Pay Installments through Affirm uses a soft credit inquiry that does not affect your credit score. A hard inquiry is only made if you proceed and accept a loan.
What plan lengths are available?
Shop Pay Installments offers a biweekly Pay in 4 plan and longer monthly plans. Which ones you are offered, and at what rate, depends on an eligibility check — rates run from 0–36% APR. Every option and its total cost is shown at checkout before you confirm.
Is there a minimum or maximum order size for financing?
Shop Pay Installments is available on orders between $50 and $30,000, which covers our whole range. Two things worth knowing before you get to checkout: orders above $20,000 may require a down payment, and installments may not be available in every state.
Can I pay off my plan early?
Yes — there is no prepayment penalty. You can pay off your remaining balance at any time through the Shop Pay app or the Affirm app at no extra charge.
What rate will I be offered?
Affirm sets the rate from your credit profile, and it can be anywhere between 0 and 36% APR. Whatever you are offered is shown in full — rate, term, monthly payment and total cost — before you accept. You are never locked in: you can decline and pay another way if the rate is not right for you.
Does financing affect my warranty or return rights?
No. Whether you pay in full or by installments, your manufacturer warranty and your return rights are exactly the same — on saunas and cold plunges, returns are accepted on unopened goods within 30 days, subject to a 20% restocking fee. Fire pits and fire tables follow their own manufacturer’s terms, which we will confirm in writing before you order. Financing is only a payment method. If you return a product bought via installments, Affirm is notified and your repayment plan is cancelled accordingly.
