How does delivery work?

Freight, kerbside, on a lift-gate truck. The carrier calls ahead to arrange a window, and someone needs to be there to receive and sign for it. This one crates at 130 lbs.

Check the crate before you sign. Look for dents, cracks or creases on any side. If you see damage, or suspect it, open the carton and inspect it while the driver is still there.

If it is damaged, refuse the delivery. That is what the distributor asks you to do and it is the cleanest outcome for you: a refused shipment goes straight back and we send a replacement, rather than you owning a damaged pit while a claim is argued. If the driver will not wait, will not let you inspect, or will not let you write the damage on the delivery receipt, do not sign anything and call us while they are still there.

If you do accept it with damage noted, the note has to go on the delivery receipt next to your signature — a signature on its own, or a note made afterwards, is not what the manufacturer's policy accepts. If the driver is using a handheld rather than paper, ask them to key the damage in and give you an exception number before they leave. Photograph the crate either way.

Scuffs, torn wrap and dust are normal on a freight crate and are not damage on their own. If the crate is sound, sign for it and unpack it as soon as you can.

Unpack it and find a problem? Tell us within five business days of delivery. That is the deadline for the claim against the carrier, and it is the one that closes first — the manufacturer allows seven calendar days for its own notification, but working to the earlier date is what keeps both open. Photograph everything before you move it, and leave it in its packaging: photos are required with the claim and a note on its own will not do. Call us and we file it and deal with the carrier.

What are the electrical requirements?
  • Match lit models need no electrical supply at all — they are lit by hand with the supplied key.
  • Electronic ignition needs a 120V outdoor receptacle at the pit, installed and grounded in accordance with local codes. That is an electrician's job, not an extension lead.
  • Worth quoting together: the gas connection is a licensed installer's job too, so get both priced in one visit.

Your installer will want this model's rated output to size the gas line — it is in the specification table further down this page.

Does it arrive assembled?

Yes. The burner, pan and valve are fitted before it ships, and the enclosure arrives as one piece in its crate. There are no panels to assemble.

The burner and its fire media are included — 12” x 24” Crystal Fire® Plus Burner with clear tempered fire glass gems – 55,000 BTUs (LP/NG).

What it still needs is a gas connection by a licensed installer, and on a wood or composite deck, the manufacturer's deck insulation kit.

What does the warranty cover?

This is The Outdoor GreatRoom Company's warranty, not ours, and it is tiered by component rather than a single figure.

On this model: 10 years on the stainless Crystal Fire Plus burner in a residential installation (5 years commercial), and 3 years structural on the table base and top.

The manufacturer’s published term for the ignition and electronics has changed between revisions of its own warranty — the dated manuals say one year, a later undated revision says three — so we confirm that one in writing for your build before you order rather than quote you the flattering figure.

Cover starts the day you buy it. It applies to the original owner at the original installation and is not extended to a second owner, so it does not transfer if you sell the house.

One thing the manufacturer is strict about, and it is easy to trip over: do not let anyone remove, repair or replace a part before the manufacturer has had a reasonable opportunity to inspect it. Doing so voids the cover.

To claim, the warranty tells you to contact your original selling dealer. That is us. We answer the phone, assemble what the manufacturer asks for, and open the claim for you.

Can I run it from a propane tank?

Yes — the base has an access door that hides a standard 20 lb propane tank, so you can run it from a tank with no gas line at all. It runs from natural gas too if you have a fixed supply.

Tell us what supply you have and we will confirm it fits before you order.

Check it yourself

The manufacturer's own documents, not our summary of them. Worth opening the dimension drawing before you order — crate size is not product size.

Freight

Weight and delivery

  • Crate size32"D x 62"W x 17"H
  • Product weight50 lbs
  • Crated weight130 lbs

Crate size, not product size. A crate is sized to the pallet it ships on, so a rectangular enclosure travels in the same crate as a round one of the same span. It describes the packaging, not the piece.

The crated figure is the pallet, not the piece. Crated weight is what the freight carrier works to and why delivery is kerbside. Once the crate and pallet are off, what you are actually moving into position is the product weight above — usually a little over half of it.

The rest of it

Assembly, and what you will actually do

The table arrives built. What is left is levelling it, seating the burner and connecting the gas.

  • Adjustable feet are fitted, so an uneven patio or deck is a levelling job rather than a problem.
  • Gas connection is a job for a licensed gas fitter. The manufacturer treats start-up — igniter adjustment and gas pressure — as installation, not warranty work, so it is worth getting right the first time.
Delivery day, and what to do at the door

The line above the Add to Cart button says how this model travels. Most go kerbside on a lift-gate truck; some ship by parcel carrier instead.

If it comes by freight, the carrier calls to arrange a window and someone needs to be there to receive it.

  • Inspect before you sign. Check every side of the crate for dents, cracks or creases, and photograph anything that looks wrong.
  • If there is damage, or you suspect damage, open it in front of the driver. The distributor's guidance is to refuse damaged freight, or freight suspected of being damaged, rather than accept it — a refused shipment goes straight back and we send a replacement.
  • If you cannot refuse and cannot inspect, do not sign. Call us while the driver is there.
  • Count the cartons against the delivery receipt and mark anything missing as “Short” on every copy, not just yours.
  • If the crate is sound, sign for it, then unpack it as soon as you can.

If it comes by parcel, there is no appointment and nothing to sign for. Check the cartons on arrival and photograph anything broken before you unpack.

Damage you only find after unpacking, and any missing parts, must reach us within five business days of delivery. Two deadlines actually apply and this is the earlier one: the claim against the carrier closes at five business days, while the manufacturer allows seven calendar days for its own notification. Work to the earlier date and both stay open. Photograph everything before you move it and leave it in its packaging — photos are required with the claim, a note on its own will not do, and the carrier may want to inspect. We handle the carrier.

Warranty

This is the manufacturer's warranty, not ours. The warrantor is The Outdoor GreatRoom Company.

Residential cover, from the manufacturer's published terms: concrete shell 5 years; stainless steel burners lifetime; stainless steel components 5 years; flex lines 5 years; electronic components and gas valves 3 years; pilot assembly 2 years; accessories 1 year. Commercial terms are shorter on most components.

Worth knowing before you buy: cover runs from the date the manufacturer shipped the unit, not the date you bought it; it is not transferable if you sell the property; claims must be made in writing within 10 days of finding the fault; and it is void if any coating, sealer or chemical is applied to the concrete shell.

What we do is answer the phone and arrange the return authorisation with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Installation

Gas connection must be made by a licensed installer, and electronic ignition needs 120VAC at the fire pit. Neither is a DIY step, and both are worth quoting before you order.

This is a new line for us

We have only just started carrying this brand, so there is nothing here yet. When a review appears under this heading it will be from someone who bought this exact fire pit from us. The store-wide feed further down is clearly labelled as what it is.
