Dynamic Martin Full Spectrum Review: What the Extra $400 Buys
Six heaters instead of seven panels, the lowest EMF tier Dynamic publishes, and near-infrared the cheaper cabins can't produce. There's also one number missing from the spec sheet, and it's the one that matters most.
The Dynamic Martin Full Spectrum is $2,399, which puts it $400 above the Avila and Barcelona. That $400 buys two things that are genuinely different rather than incrementally better, and this review is mostly about whether those two things are worth it to you specifically.
It also has a gap in its published specification that we're going to point at rather than fill in, because it's the single most important number for anyone deciding whether this cabin fits their household.
What "full spectrum" actually means here
The Martin carries six heaters in total, and the split matters:
- 4 × PureTech Near Zero EMF far infrared carbon panels — the deep, gentle warmth every infrared cabin produces
- 2 × near infrared elements — the shorter-wavelength end that a far-infrared-only cabin physically cannot generate
Together the manufacturer describes this as near, mid and far coverage. The practical distinction: far infrared is what makes you sweat, and it's what the $1,999 cabins do perfectly well. The near-infrared emitters are an addition, not an upgrade to the same thing — they are the reason to pay more, and if they don't interest you then the extra $400 doesn't either.

The EMF tier, which is the other half of the $400
Dynamic publishes three EMF tiers, and the Martin sits in the lowest one.

Only 9 of the 47 Dynamic cabins we stock reach Near Zero, and the Martin is among the cheapest that does. So the $400 over an Avila buys you both a full spectrum heater array and a two-tier jump in published EMF rating. Framed that way it's a lot of specification for the money.
The usual caveat applies and applies hard: 2–3 inches from the heating elements is much closer than anyone actually sits. A rating taken at the panel and one taken at the seat are not the same measurement. The number that isn't on the spec sheet
The Martin's exterior is published: 39" wide × 36" deep (plus 2" for the roof overhang) × 77" high. Note the height — at 77 inches it is four inches taller than the Avila and Barcelona, which is worth knowing if you're fitting it under a sloped ceiling or in a basement.
The interior dimensions are not published. The Avila and Barcelona both state theirs (36" × 32" × 67"). The Martin does not.
We're not going to estimate it from the exterior. Wall thickness varies between cabins, the roof overhang complicates the depth, and a guessed interior measurement is precisely the wrong thing to lean on when the question is whether two adults will fit. This is a "1–2 person" cabin, which across this entire category means a very good one-person cabin — and without the interior figure we can't tell you how tight the two-person case is on this particular model.

Martin, or save the $400?
The honest decision tree is short.
Buy the Martin if full spectrum genuinely appeals — you want near infrared alongside far, not just a hotter box — or if you want the lowest published EMF tier available and would otherwise be paying up for it anyway. On both counts $400 is a fair price for what changes.
Buy the Avila instead if what you actually want is to sweat several times a week in a cabin that plugs into the wall. Far infrared does that completely, the Avila does it for $1,999, and nothing about the Martin makes the Avila worse at it. Spending $400 on a feature you don't want is not an upgrade.

- You only want to sweat — far infrared alone does that for $400 less
- You want traditional steam heat — this is infrared, 118–132°F
Before you order the Martin
- Ask us for the interior dimensions. They aren't published and you shouldn't guess.
- Check your ceiling. 77" tall plus clearance — the one spec that catches people out.
- Measure 39" × 38" of floor, counting the 2" roof overhang on the depth.
- Decide whether you actually want near infrared. If not, the Avila saves you $400.
- Pick your outlet — standard 120V, just not one shared with a heavy appliance.
