How does delivery work?
Freight, kerbside, on a lift-gate truck. The carrier calls ahead to arrange a window, and someone needs to be there to receive and sign for it.
Check the crate before you sign. Look for dents, cracks or creases on any side. If you see damage, or suspect it, open the carton and inspect it while the driver is still there.
If it is damaged, refuse the delivery. That is what the distributor asks you to do and it is the cleanest outcome for you: a refused shipment goes straight back and we send a replacement, rather than you owning a damaged pit while a claim is argued. If the driver will not wait, will not let you inspect, or will not let you write the damage on the delivery receipt, do not sign anything and call us while they are still there.
If you do accept it with damage noted, the note has to go on the delivery receipt next to your signature — a signature on its own, or a note made afterwards, is not what the manufacturer's policy accepts. If the driver is using a handheld rather than paper, ask them to key the damage in and give you an exception number before they leave. Photograph the crate either way.
Scuffs, torn wrap and dust are normal on a freight crate and are not damage on their own. If the crate is sound, sign for it and unpack it as soon as you can.
Unpack it and find a problem? Tell us within five business days of delivery — that is the distributor's deadline for reporting concealed damage, and a claim reported after it is very hard to make stick. Sooner is better: the carrier has to be satisfied the damage did not happen after delivery. Photograph everything before you move it, and leave it in its packaging until we have filed. We deal with the carrier.
What are the electrical requirements?
This model: 120VAC required on Electronic Ignition models only.
- Match lit models need no electrical supply at all — they are lit by hand with the supplied key.
- Electronic ignition needs a 120V outdoor receptacle at the pit, installed and grounded in accordance with local codes. That is an electrician's job, not an extension lead.
- Worth quoting together: the gas connection is a licensed installer's job too, so get both priced in one visit.
Your installer will want this model's rated output to size the gas line — it is in the specification table further down this page.
Does it arrive assembled?
Yes. The burner, pan and valve are fitted before it ships, and the enclosure arrives as one piece in its crate. There are no panels to assemble.
Installation type: Freestanding.
What it still needs is a gas connection by a licensed installer, and on a wood or composite deck, the manufacturer's deck insulation kit.
What does the warranty cover?
We do not publish a warranty summary for this model, because the manufacturer's own documents disagree with each other and we are not going to pick the flattering one.
Ask us and we will get the current terms for this exact configuration in writing from the manufacturer before you order.
Can I run it from a propane tank?
Fixed piping only β not for use with portable or small tanks
