Dynamic Sicily Review: Cedar at the Cheapest Price We Sell
$1,499 buys the only genuinely small sauna in the range β and the only one under $3,000 built from cedar. There's one spec the manufacturer doesn't publish, and we'd rather point at the gap than paper over it.
The Dynamic Sicily is the cheapest sauna we sell, at $1,499, and it is the model we most often recommend to people who have talked themselves out of a sauna entirely. It is small, it is light, it plugs into a wall socket, and β unusually for anything near this price β it is built from Pacific Clear Cedar rather than hemlock.
It is also the one cabin in the Dynamic range where a spec is missing from the published sheet. We'll come to that, because it's the sort of thing a review ought to raise rather than quietly skip.
Who it's actually for
This is a genuine one-person sauna, and refreshingly, the manufacturer says so plainly. There is no "1β2 person" hedge on the Sicily. The interior measures 32 inches wide by 24 inches deep, which is one seat and a place to rest a glass of water.
That honesty is worth more than it sounds. Across the rest of this category, capacity labels are the single biggest source of buyer disappointment β cabins sold as two-person that seat two people only if they're very fond of each other. The Sicily makes no such claim, so it can't break it.
It's the only cabin in the range whose capacity label needs no translation. One person means one person.

The spec they don't publish
The Sicily is sold as an Ultra Low EMF cabin. On every other Dynamic model, that phrase comes attached to a number: Low EMF means 5β10 milligauss measured 2β3 inches from the panel, Ultra Low means 3β5 mG at the same distance, Near Zero means under 3 mG.
For the Sicily, the manufacturer publishes no milligauss figure at all. Only the tier name.
It is reasonable to expect it sits in the same 3β5 mG band as the other Ultra Low cabins. We are not going to print that as a specification, because it isn't one β it's an inference, and the whole problem with EMF marketing in this category is inferences presented as measurements. If a specific number is load-bearing in your decision, call us and we'll put the question to the manufacturer rather than guess on your behalf.
While we're here: the measurement distance matters as much as the number. 2β3 inches from the panel is far closer than anyone actually sits, and comparisons that rank brands using figures taken at different distances are comparing nothing. Our guide to EMF meter readings explains why home readings so often look alarming and usually aren't, and the low-EMF ranking sorts the catalog by published tier.
The cedar, which is the real story
Of the 47 Dynamic cabins we stock, 45 are Canadian Hemlock and just two are cedar. The Sicily is one of the two, and it is by some distance the cheaper.
Cedar is not a performance upgrade β it will not make you sweat more. What it does is smell like a sauna the moment the panels warm up, and it ages to a deeper colour than hemlock does. For a lot of people that aroma is the sauna experience, and normally reaching it means spending well over $4,000. Here it's $1,499.
Where it's brilliant, and where it isn't
Brilliant for
- Solo daily use β its entire design premise
- Genuinely small rooms: 35.5" Γ 28" is about a wide armchair
- Bathrooms, bedroom corners, home offices
- Renters β 159 lb, one box, no wiring, moves house with you
- Anyone who wants cedar without a $4,000 budget
- A first sauna where the risk needs to feel small
Look elsewhere if
- Two people will ever use it together β it will not work
- You want a published mG figure before buying
- You're tall and want to stretch out; interior height is 60"
- You want full spectrum near and mid infrared
- You want traditional steam heat β this is infrared, 118β132Β°F
On height: 60 inches of interior means this is emphatically a sauna you sit in. That's true of the whole compact class and isn't a defect, but it's worth measuring your expectations alongside your floor.
If you're weighing it against the other one-person cabin in the range, the Vero at $1,599, we've put them side by side in Sicily vs Vero. And if there's any chance a second person will want in, skip both and read the Barcelona review instead β spending $500 more now is much cheaper than replacing a cabin in a year.
Before you order the Sicily
- Measure 35.5" Γ 28" on your actual floor, plus clearance to open the door.
- Confirm you're buying a one-person sauna and are happy about it. This is the whole decision.
- Check the route in β one box, 159 lb, but it still has to make the turn.
- Ask us for the mG figure if the EMF number matters to you. We'd rather chase the manufacturer than have you assume.
- You do not need an electrician. A standard 120V outlet is all it takes.
Across our whole range we're at 4.85β from 397 owner reviews. The Sicily ships free with the manufacturer warranty (5 yrs heaters and electronics, 1 yr wood), and if you want a second opinion on whether one seat is genuinely enough for your household, that's exactly what the phone number is for.

This article is general wellness information, not medical advice, and has not been evaluated to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Where an EMF figure is quoted it is a manufacturer-published rating measured 2β3 inches from the heating panel, not our own meter reading; the Sicily's figure is not published and is shown as such.
